Soft Drinks also Increase Risk of Heart Disease and Diabetes

soft_drinks.gifSoft drinks are just as likely to increase your risk factors for heart disease and diabetes as full fat sodas, researchers said.

The U.S study found adults who drank one or more can a day had about a 50 percent higher risk of metabolic syndrome – a cluster of risk factors such as excessive fat around the waist, low levels of “good” cholesterol, high blood pressure and other symptoms. (more…)

It’s not fun to wonder about this. I know that myself. The last few days I had some upper body / chest pain, and I was really concerned about it!
